Introduction

NXP Semiconductors is a company with a deep commitment to sustainability. We believe that for us to become a truly sustainable company, we need our suppliers to join us in this commitment, based on a shared set of values and principles.

NXP‘s Suppliers and the NXP Code of Conduct

NXP‘s commitment to responsible corporate citizenship and the pursuit of a sustainable future - economic, social and environmental - is reflected in the NXP Code of Conduct. The NXP Code of Conduct sets out guiding principles on integrity and ethics in business conduct, including those that help create a sustainable supply chain.

In short, NXP pursues mutually beneficial relationships with its Suppliers and seeks to award business to those Suppliers who are committed to acting fairly and with integrity towards their stakeholders, to observing the applicable rules of law and to supporting and respecting internationally proclaimed human rights.

The NXP Supplier Sustainability Program

As laid out in the NXP Code of Conduct, our supply managers must select Suppliers and business partners in accordance with the principles of the Code. A Supplier Sustainability Program has been put in place for this purpose.

The Program is based on the NXP Supplier Declaration on Sustainability. The Declaration constitutes an integral part of our Purchase Agreements and Purchase Orders.

Suppliers meet our sustainability criteria when no major areas of non-compliance are found and when their approach to - and deployment of - sustainability management are in line with our expectations.

The Electronic Industry Citizenship Coalition

NXP fully supports the vision and goals of the Electronic Industry Citizenship Coalition and in particular the requirements that have been laid down in the EICC’s Code of Conduct, version 3.0. These requirements are either part of NXP’s own Code of Conduct or have been included in the NXP policies and procedures.

NXP has committed to implement the EICC Code of Conduct, version 3.0, requirements in its own operations.

NXP also commits to progressively apply the EICC Code of Conduct to its first tier suppliers and to monitor its application to the best of its ability.
