Available as a satellite LNB (Low Noise Block) chipset the TFF1004HN downconverter with our UAF3000TS biasing IC and BFU725F transistor.
The key component of our LNB chipset, the fully integrated downconverter TFF1004HN IC, is perfect for Ku-band DVB-S receivers. Unlike discrete DRO-based solutions for FIMOD microwave applications, its performance doesn’t degrade over time.
NXP’s TFF1004HN includes a PLL synthesizer, mixer and amplifiers. It features high cut-off frequencies, guarantees local oscillator stability and lowers total cost of ownership. It is housed in a small HVQFN24 package that measures only 4 x 4 x 0.85 mm.
Complying with both Asian and European standards, the TFF1004HN supports RF input frequencies between 10.7 and 12.75 GHz, and uses a selectable LO that operates at 9.75 or 10.6 GHz.
The UAF3000TS is a FET bias controller, with polarization switch and tone detection, for biasing up to three PHEMT devices. An integrated bandgap reference ensures the accuracy of voltage and tone detection, while integrated detectors handle horizontal and vertical, and high / low band switching. The device also automatically detects the supply voltage range.
Our BFU725F is an NPN microwave transistor for high-speed, low-noise applications. It is used for the second LNA stage of the LNB chipset. Manufactured in a 110 GHz fT-SiGe technology, it delivers an excellent noise figure (1.1 dB at 12 GHz), and a high maximum stable gain (13 dB at 12 GHz).
