Background information
GreenChip III is the third generation of green SMPS control ICs, aimed at notebook adapter applications with an output power higher than 75 W. The GreenChip III TEA1750 and TEA1751 combine both a PFC controller and a flyback controller.
The integrated functionality of the GreenChip III controller helps to significantly lower system cost for notebook adapters, requiring some 50% fewer external SMD components. This also speeds time-to-market for new adapter designs and ensures delivers greater product reliability.
Optimal efficiency in all operating modes ensures a power supply solution that’s highly efficient and ready for next-generation notebooks and energy standards.
