Our innovative UMA-enabled cell-phone solution provides maximum flexibility and easy differentiation for handset manufacturers. It delivers all the hardware, software, validation, support and interoperability testing (IOT) necessary for implementation of UMA functionality in today’s mobile handsets.
When the subscriber moves outside the range of a cellular network, UMA technology automatically accesses the nearest unlicensed WLAN network to enable seamless roaming. UMA technology also manages the hand-off between networks while the handset is in use, so traveling subscribers can conduct voice calls and data sessions without interruption. Service providers and network operators that support UMA technology can make use of the existing WLAN infrastructure to offer their subscribers greater coverage and an improved user experience.
