When the DDR controller is initialized below 0 degrees Celcius and operated beyond an ambient temperature of 60 degrees Celcius, the DDR controller may not function properly and data corruption may be observed.
This DDR errata will be referenced in the errata document for the affected devices as DDR:A-004508.
To operate the DDR controller across the lower extended temperature range, the software must be modified:
- Set bit 22 of the CCSR register offset 0x0_2F08 before the DDR controller is enabled.
For more information, please refer to the errata document for the affected device.
The customer will be required to make the software change described in the "Description of Change" section if the DDR controller is required to operate over the complete lower extended temperature range.
Customers need to implement the software workaround if their products need a DDR controller to operate over the entire lower extended temperature range.
