NXP and our partners offer a wide range of expansion boards that complement our general-purpose MCUs, and the list of products is continually growing. As a result, we’ve created an Expansion Board Hub (EBH) that places links to board overviews, software, support and links for other useful information for each expansion board offered all in one place, known as the NXP EBH. All products in the EBH are software compatible with MCUXpresso SDK, either from NXP or from the associated partner.
As you may already know, our expansion boards add Wi-Fi, sensors, interfaces and other functionality to our evaluation kits (EVK). The NXP EBH is our showcase for expanding NXP’s evaluation board capabilities featuring expansion boards from NXP and our partners with links to software and product support.
We created the NXP EBH for our customers and partners. For our customers, the intent is to show the range of expansion possibilities for our evaluation boards in one place, and for our partners, the EBH allows them to showcase their products.
We wanted to deliver an intuitive and user-friendly experience for our customers to explore the possibilities for expanding what our wide range of evaluation boards are capable of accomplishing. The EBH achieves this by presenting a complete collection of available expansion boards for the convenience of our customers; but it’s more than just a list of products. We designed the tool with full-text search capabilities plus filtering options by any combination of vendor, connector type and/or category (e.g., biometrics, sensors, storage).
Once you find an expansion board you’re interested in, a simple click presents an overview of its capabilities and basic specifications, a sample of which is shown below. This overview also provides links for more specifications, access to software and hardware support resources and a link to the product card. Note that a link to the product card can easily be shared with colleagues.
Our partners provide us with details about their products and the links they know will be most beneficial to you. This allows them to showcase their products in an easy-to-search interface. As we continually add new vendors, partners and products, customers will be able to find their latest products with ease.
Combining the search and filter capabilities with product information makes this a user-friendly, information-rich marketplace to help customers find the solutions they need and the support to help them get the most out of these products.
