120V 9W non-dimmable buck high power factor reference design


Demo board description

The SSL21082DB1063 demo board is a non-dimmable implementation of the SSL21082T, which is positioned for dimmable applications. For new non-dimmable designs in buck configuration, please use one of our non-dimmable products (e.g. SSL21081/SSL21083) and their related reference designs.

This SSL21082 reference design targets high efficiency (> 90 %) and high power factor (> 0.9) with very low system cost. The board is optimized for a 120 V mains supply. In addition to the mains voltage optimization, the board is designed to work with multiple LEDs or an LED module. Under the expected conditions, the output current is 280 mA when using an LED string with a VF of 32 V. The current can be adjusted by two resistors on the board.
