This year's Mobile World Congress (11-14 February, Barcelona) brought together over 60,000 attendees,
1,300 exhibitors, and 1,000 members of the world press - proving that it is still the industry’s most
important event for mobile communications. It's the one event where trendsetters around the globe
gather to pinpoint growth opportunities, showcase the trends in convergence, and demonstrate the latest
in mobile multimedia.
This was our second year at the show as NXP, and we showed the many ways our vibrant media technologies
enhance the mobile experience and gave several demonstrations of our ready-to-manufacture solutions. We
introduced our groundbreaking LTE multi-mode platform, and our new, ultra-small, single-chip HSPA
multimedia solution PNX6712. We also, once again, raised the bar for 3G, with the world’s first 3G
Linux mass-market feture phone (co-developed with our partner Purple Labs.
