NXP Semiconductors has been ranked at the top of the latest Vendor Matrix from ABI Research, following the company's most recent evaluation of worldwide RFID transponder IC vendors.
The Vendor Matrix is ABI Research's analytical tool for evaluating vendor performance in different markets. In the first matrix to examine RFID transponder solutions, vendors were assessed on both 'innovation' and 'implementation' parameters covering several criteria.
For example, innovation includes criteria such as product feature sets, manufacturing innovation and breadth of product portfolio. While annual volume, market share and support capabilities are among those under implementation.
The matrix produces a most satisfying result for NXP, putting us at the head of the field in RFID transponders.
