I like the combination of innovation and dynamism - I don't want to repeat the same work, year after year. In my job, I'm responsible for funding income for the department; some of which comes from the Business Units for different projects. I identify together with program management what they need, summarize projects and make proposals showing what it will cost them.
NXP is very good on career development and management support for employee development - but you're in the driving seat when it comes to your career. You're not on your own; management recognizes and develops talent. I get a lot of support and training to enable me to take the next step.
There's lots of variety in my job, because it covers both business development and budgeting. I like variety - it's the reason why I chose NXP. Technically, there is a move towards the most advanced technologies. The emphasis is on quality, which is very important in the broader sense of processes and products, time and effort spent. I think we should focus on doing a few things, and doing them very well. To really be good, we need to focus. And that's happening nowadays, I can see it happening."
