"Where I work in NXP, we investigate and introduce new design tools and techniques for RF design. This covers the areas of front-end design - simulation tools, and back-end design - layout editing and verification tools. We translate design methodology needs into an efficient and customized tool flow in cooperation with design teams from different business units and the IC Manufacturing Operations, and also support RF design teams. Part of our work is also to follow technology trends and discuss our design technology requirements with main tool suppliers in order to optimally match our needs with opportunities in this field.
