Everything you need to implement eCall in a single package

ATOP is an all-in-one 'black box' from NXP which contains all of the components required to equip a vehicle with eCall technology. The box contains electronics for:

• Mobile telephone voice and data connection
• GPS location sensors
• Link to vehicles other electronic systems (such as collision detection sensors)
• Processing and storage capacity to run additional applications
• Even provides additional security measures to protect privacy if extended dada should be submitted

ATOP provides everything vehicle manufacturers need to implement eCall in a single compact and cost efficient package, enabling them to reduce complexity and minimise costs in their vehicle designs. The product also features integred battery management ensuring that a back-up battery and remains able to make the vital emergency call even if it is detached from the vehicle's power supply during a collision.

The product is mutli service capable and hence provides support for a range of additional features in the same package, such as vehicle location tracking, remote starting and diagnostics as well as business applications such as fleet management. ATOP features a high level of system security, to protect both the vehicle itself and the owner's privacy under such applications.
