FlatPower TVS: 600 / 400 W in smallest packages

NXP is now offering 600 W and 400 W peak pulse power rating (10/1000µs) TVS diodes in its 2-lead FlatPower packages SOD128 (3.8 x 2.5 x 1.0 mm) and SOD123W (2.6 x 1.7 x 1.0 mm) - industry's smallest packages for these surge-protection classes.

Alternative TVS products in the market are commonly offered in the much larger packages SMA or SMB. The very low height of 1.0 mm and small outline dimensions will enable engineers to save space on the PCB while delivering optimum power performance.

In total, 70 devices are available with a voltage range from 3.3. to 64 V.

Due to the very low leakage current of only 1 nA (typical) the TVS series reduces energy consumption and facilitates its use in battery powered mobile applications.

The FlatPower packages SOD128 and SOD123W are free of halogens and antimony oxides and comply with non-flammability classification UL 94V-0 and RoHS standards.
