NXP provides a complete USB 3.0 signal integrity solution

USB 3.0 uses differential signal technology with 10 times higher signal speed (5 Gbps) than USB 2.0 (480 Mbps) for high bandwidth data transmission.

Faster systems

As computing systems become faster, signal integrity tends to deteriorate more rapidly than in slower systems. The redriver provides signal equalization on a weakened signal, followed by transmit de-emphasis, thus maximizing link performance, enhancing signal integrity and improving system reliability.

NXP's USB 3.0 redriver solution includes on-chip equalization technologies at receiving and transmitting sides. It provides an easy and low risk migration from USB 2.0 to USB 3.0 system configuration without changing system form factor or PCB material (FR4). This helps to shorten the design cycle time, save development cost and ensure interface compatibility.

Providing port expansion function, NXP's USB 3.0 MUX switches also offer the widest bandwidth - up to 10 GHz - that helps to minimize signal degradation on PCB trace routing.

NXP offers the USB 3.0 signal conditioning redrivers and signal routing switches for board designers to easily pass the USB 3.0 Compliance Test and make flexible system expansion.
