Eindhoven, the Netherlands, March 02, 2007 – NXP Semiconductors has announced that its Chief Executive Officer, Frans van Houten, will address the Morgan Stanley Investors Conference in San Francisco on Wednesday 7 March at 14:15 Pacific Time.
van Houten will discuss NXP’s business strategy, including details of the company’s Business Renewal, asset light program and strategy to address key markets for the Mobile and Personal, Home, Automotive, Identification and Multimarket businesses. In addition, van Houten will discuss the rationale behind the recently announced acquisition of the cellular communications business of Silicon Laboratories Inc. (Nasdaq: SLAB) as well as provide insight into the company’s recent fourth quarter of 2006 financial performance update, issued 21 February.
The presentation at Morgan Stanley comes six months after NXP was spun out from Royal Philips Electronics in a deal that saw a consortium of private equity investors take an 80 percent stake in the company, funded in part by a €3.4 billion high-yield bond offering.
