The importance of online channels in today’s dynamic semiconductor market, where engineers are under constant pressure to deliver application designs on time and quickly access technical specs, is growing. Today NXP Semiconductors (NASDAQ: NXPI) announced a radical redesign and re-launch of its website, www.nxp.com, to better align with the needs of its customers in the High Performance Mixed Signal and Standard Products markets, helping them to locate products, applications and technical support in the most intuitive, quick and reliable way possible. The new website is part of a broader online marketing ecosystem, consisting of distribution partner websites, third party websites and NXP’s own product selector applications for iPhone/Android, offering product, application and support information in a reliable, relevant and recognizable way.

Facts/Highlights
- Built with the customer in mind, NXP’s new website garnered input and real-time feedback from over 1,000 engineers via online focus groups. User input was canvassed and acted upon at every stage of development, with the site created in beta and opened up to users to ensure that it was centered around their requirements.
- The engineer-led feedback was instrumental in establishing the new navigation structure and design style, with a rotating banner incorporated down the side of each page to help visitors navigate the new features.
- Building on NXP’s established ecosystem of distribution partners the new www.nxp.com site offers easier ways to purchase NXP products and demo boards online. The site is connected directly to distribution order systems, providing engineers with the ability to seamlessly source samples, products and demo boards via individual product pages.
- Further site improvements include a search engine that provides better and faster results; an easy to use product catalogue; a dedicated section for application content; more technical block diagrams and support information; and improved datasheets, application information and training materials.
- The new site is also fully integrated with social media channels, making it even easier for customers to access and share content online.
