CEN is one of the most influential media in the electronics and semiconductor industry in China. 2007 was the third year the award was issued and this year, more than 30 semiconductor brands took part in the election during a course of three-months. The election has raised attentions of many enterprises and experts in the related fields and the related media. The nominees were recommended by mass media, and selected by the product users and other experts. The evaluation committee composed of 10 authoritative specialists in semiconductor and electronic fields. Judging criteria include “business performance and company growth, corporation with other integrated services providers, the local investment on R&D, procurement and integrated facilities and services etc” of the participating brands. The result was worked out using a weighted average method and companies with the highest marks won.

An award ceremony was held in Shanghai on March 18. The ceremony was an important program in the 20th anniversary celebration gala of SEMICON China. There were more than 600 industrial practitioners from all over the world who attended the celebration gala and the award ceremony. During the ceremony, CEN highly praised NXP's achievements in business development, its total solution and comprehensive services to local customers as well as NXP's China localization strategy.

An article titled “NXP Creates Value to Local Market” in a special edition of CEN reports that “NXP adopts a strategy that suits local market demands very well and it provides to its customers comprehensive solutions instead of just a single product”. In another report, the journalist said “NXP creates great value to the local industry by providing total solutions and fully leveraging its China resources in manufacturing and providing localized and optimized customer services...”

For NXP, being honored with the award, means that our unremitting efforts and strong commitment to the local industry are highly acknowledged and valued in the market.
