The TEF664x family completes NXP's leading one-chip tuner family portfolio, offering scalability and simplicity in a single generic platform. The AM/FM receiver for single tuner radio applications includes the tuner & the DSP based processing on one IC. The family is available in various drop-in compatible versions offering the ideal fit to customers' requirements. It enables more flexible configuration with existing components without sacrificing performance or reception quality.
The TEF664x also supports the usage of HD Radio and DRM via the Co-processor SAF356x for an enhanced consumer experience. The tuner integration via RFCMOS technology improves system costs & ensures an easy application. The leading tuner technology combined with the digital radio processing, result in the highest reception performance. The best-in-class multipath suppression algorithms block noises and distortions caused by echoes in the transmission path for consistent high quality sound.
