The SAF3550 HD Radio processor adds high quality digital AM and FM functionality to our complete car radio portfolio. Helping you stay in front with the latest developments in high quality sound, our latest innovation paves the way to interference-free, in-car CD-quality sound with a host of information services.


The chip incorporates HD Radio decoding and is optimized in hardware and software to deliver a dedicated single-chip solution, while remaining flexible for future HD Radio features. Compared to existing devices, the SAF3550 provides the highest integration level in the smallest footprint, enabling very cost-efficient signal demodulation and processing. Its unique design also enables manufacturers using NXP's tuner front-ends and CarDSPs to extend their existing designs with minimal effort.


In combination with NXP's CarDSPs, the SAF3550 provides manufacturers with a flexible chipset enabling listeners to easily enjoy interference-free digital audio broadcasts and wireless data services.
