FT-CAN is Europe's de-facto body network standard. It ensures correct operation in the event of a broken or shorted connection, particularly important in vulnerable areas such as doors and seats.


NXP's highly robust FT-CAN transceivers benefit from our unique SOI (Silicon-On-Insulator) process technology, giving improved electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). We are also reducing RF emissions of our solutions, enabling designers to extend networking range without compromising safety. Together with improved RF interference, our FT-CAN transceivers also reduce costs by allowing increased use of unshielded cabling.
