Adopted in the USA as a mid-speed (class B) bus standard, the SAE/J1850 protocol is intended for non-real-time
communication and diagnostic circuits. For in-vehicle multiplex applications, our dedicated J1850 line transceivers
provide all the necessary interfacing between a link controller and the physical bus wire.
- Supports SAE/J1850 VPW standard for in-vehicle class B multiplexing
- Bus speed 10.4 kbps nominal
- 32 bus nodes drive capability
- Low RFI due to output waveshaping with adjustable slew rate
- Direct battery operation with protection against + 50 V load dump, jump start and reverse battery
- Power supply control option
- Bus terminals proof against automotive transients up to ± 200 V
- Thermal overload protection
- Very low bus idle power consumption
- Diagnostic loop-back mode
- 4x mode (41.6 kbps) reception capability
- 9 kV ESD protection on bus and battery pins
- 8-pin SOIC package
- Non real-time network communications
- Diagnostics applications
