AN10361 1 (260Kb)

Building on the success of our energy-saving BISS transistor technology, our BISS load switches combine low VCEsat (BISS) transistors with resistor-equipped transistors (RETs) to deliver load switch functionality from a single package.

These ultra-low-loss devices help reduce component count and total system cost while cutting board space requirements by more than 45%.

Key features

Ultra-small SOT666 package
  • Low VCEsat (BISS) transistor and resistor-equipped transistor (RET) in one package
  • Low saturation voltage
  • Low 'threshold' voltage (<1V) compared to MOSFET
  • Low drive power required
  • Range of small, very small and ultra-small packages

Key benefits

SOT363 package
  • Smaller end products
  • Reduced component count
    • Less sourcing effort
    • Fewer solder points increases reliability
    • Potential for cost reduction
  • More-efficient, cooler-running systems

Key applications

  • Supply line switch
  • Battery charge switch
  • High-side switch for LEDs, drives and backlights
  • Portable equipment
