HDMI receivers
With the massive adoption of HDMI connectivity, there are more and more peripherals that can be connected to digital TVs. One HDMI input is no longer enough and HDMI receivers need to support multiple inputs or be interfaced with switches.
NXP addresses this need with a range of multi input HDMI receivers. This includes the 4-input HDMI 1.3 receiver TDA19978, which features embedded 12-bit Deep Color and xv.Color features for the richest HD TV color experience. It also delivers an enhanced audio experience due to a high bit rate audio path and direct stream transport (DST), enabling transport of audio streams such as DTS-HDTM or Dolby TrueHD™.
NXP backs up the hardware performance of the receiver with full software support that is both multi-core (MIPS, SPARC, ARM) and multi-OS compliant (even without OS). User friendly high level drivers and low level access for fine tuning are completed with HDMI certification compliance.
