ICODE®

ICODE® is the industry standard for high-frequency (HF) smart label solutions operating on 13,56Mhz supporting ISO 15693/ISO 18000-3 compliant infrastructure. The ICODE platform currently comprises 3 families:

ICODE SLIX with its latest addition ICODE SLIX 2, ICODE ILT and the newest family ICODE DNA providing AES based tag authentication.

ICODE SLIX family

Consists of ICODE SLIX, ICODE SLIX-S, ICODE SLIX-L and the newest addition to this family the ICODE SLIX 2 are the industry-leading products for ISO15693/ ISO18000-3 compliant applications. ICODE SLIX 2 which is fully backwards compatible to existing ICODE SLIX products additionally provides 2528 Bit user memory, a counter, NXP originality ECC signature and a persistent quiet mode.

It offers benchmark RF performance, highest quality and an optimized feature set for a large variety of applications. Different user memory options ranging from 256Bit up to 2528 Bit and different feature sets are available to address different application requirements. All family members support password protection for EAS and AFI. With 50 years guaranteed data retention they are the ideal choice for libraries, archives and other long-term applications.

ICODE ILT family - for high speed item level tagging

Consists of ICODE ILT and ICODE ILT-M. These smart label ICs are the first to comply with ISO 18000-3M3/EPC Class-1 HF, leverages high anti-collision speed, excellent reliability, and best-in-class cost/performance ratio to enable next-generation item level tagging solutions. NXP ICODE ILT products enable fast, reliable item identification, even in dense tag populations and at fast conveyor-belt speeds. Supporting up to 700 tags/s, it enables a high degree of tracking automation, especially in applications that require the identification of closely coupled items. Worldwide harmonized regulations for the ISM band (13.56 MHz) enable hassle-free global use. Target applications include but are not limited to healthcare (e.g. surgery sponge detection, smart cabinets), pharmaceutical supply chain control, medical lab automation (e.g. identification of vials), document tracking, casino chips and game cards and laundry automation.

ICODE DNA

With the new ICODE DNA, NXP revolutionizes its ICODE portfolio by bringing tag and mutual AES cryptographic authentication to enhance the security for vicinity applications. Moreover ICODE DNA, which is NFC forum type 5 tag compliant offers easy cloud connectivity through NFC phones to support convenient consumer engagement and offers easy system integration thanks to a broad range of supporting tools. The 32 Byte ECC (elliptic curve cryptography) based originality signature can be reprogrammed to a customer specific signature for easy differentiation. Target applications of ICODE DNA include brand protection, consumer engagement, track and trace along supply chain, document tracking and authentication as well as access control.
