HITAG readers
To provide reader manufacturers and system houses with the opportunity to develop customized readers and systems, NXP offers a range of products for reader and system development, from highly integrated read/write ICs to complete OEM reader modules.
Reader ICs
HITAG™ reader ICs are the highest integrated reader components. HTRC 110 includes the complete analogue front-end circuitry, only a few passive components are required in addition. PCF 7921 is a programmable reader security controller, which is capable of handling the encrypted communication protocols of HITAG 2 and HITAG S. PCF 7921 is intended to be used as the protocol driver for HTRC 110. The protocol (except for crypto calculations ) has to be developed by the OEM manufacturer. We strongly recommend to attend to a PCF 7921 specific training in advance. The crypto calculations are available on the PCF 7921 as hardwired feature.
