Descriptive summary

FlexRay technology provides higher bandwidth and deterministic latency, enabling the development of innovative, next-generation systems that help the automotive industry take another step towards zero emission and zero accident driving. It also helps counteract the increase in cables as more and more systems are connected in the car, reducing weight and the use of raw materials. Furthermore FlexRay will enable x-by-wire applications that by electrification of existing mechanical implementations have a significant weight- and emission-saving potential. NXP provides the best-in-class FlexRay transceivers with extensive feature-sets, and offers well recognized system and application support.
