NOTE: A slave address of a device can only be allocated, without collision with other devices, if function and I²C bus protocol of the device is known to the I²C-bus committee. This means that a slave address request form must be accompanied with a datasheet or preliminary specification of the device and preferable a description of a maximum application of the device in a system.
