LPC4000 Series: Mid-range Microcontrollers (MCUs) based on ARM® Cortex®-M4 Cores


The LPC4000 series are Cortex-M4/M4F based MCUs that can support multiple high-bandwidth data streams running simultaneously from peripherals such as Ethernet, USB (host or device), CAN, and LCD display. Drop-in compatible with LPC177x/8x and ARM7 LPC2x00 series MCUs, the LPC4000 has the patent-pending SPI Flash interface (SPIFI), providing a seamless high-speed interface to low-cost QSPI Flash. SPIFI offers a cost effective way to add Mbytes of program or data flash to your system.

NXP's LPC4000 Digital Signal Control (DSC) processors, bring high-performance signal processing capabilities within the reach of the typical MCU programmer. These DSC processors offer a high level of system integration, reducing system design cost and complexity, while simplifying the design cycle using a single tool chain. The LPC4000 series combines the benefits of a microcontroller with high-performance digital signal processing features such as single-cycle MAC, single instruction multiple data (SIMD) techniques, saturating arithmetic, and a floating point unit (FPU).
