Low-Power Design

The LPC541xx MCU family is optimized for the ultimate in power efficiency. The low-power Flash is writable at 1.62V. Core and peripheral voltages can be scaled for reduced power consumption at any frequency. An asynchronous peripheral bus reduces peripheral clock speed without affecting the CPU clock, and this minimizes peripheral power consumption.

Low-power interfaces can receive sensor data in lowpower mode with or without DMA, and can wake the CPU from deep power-down once data is received. The 12-bit, 12-channel ADC delivers 4.8 Msps operation at full spec, including 1.62 V, and can perform conversion while the CPU is asleep.
