NXP supports and participates in the UHAPI Forum, whose goal is to specify and establish an industry-accepted API for handling audio and video in consumer devices.
The UHAPI dramatically reduces the complexity of programming media processing and underlying A/V tasks by abstracting the API to the task level. It is based on the concept of 'use cases' or usage scenarios and builds-in extensive functionality, eliminating the need to manually code complex steps associated with real-time and streaming applications.
