Descriptive summary

P2SC chips monitor each tyre directly from the moment the ignition is turned and relays information to the driver constantly, whether the vehicle is moving or stationary. By using a simple indicator on the vehicle's dashboard drivers can be alerted to potentially dangerous conditions, just as a low fuel light warns of a walk to the nearest garage.

PCH7970 - high performance signal processing and data framing

First member from the P2SC range is the single-chip PCH7970, a low power RISC-based device capable of reading two multiplexed sensors using an in-built high precision 12-bit ADC. Operating from an independent single-cell battery, the PCH7970 also features several I/Os, programmable memories and a power-down mode to minimize quiescent current.
