NXP is the world's number-one supplier of FM radio ICs. We offer the world's smallest FM stereo radio, were first to introduce RDS features for portable applications, support all FM bands worldwide, and have options for AM radio functions.


The current portfolio includes the following ICs:


  • TEA5761 - the world's smallest FM stereo radio IC (only 3.5 x 3.5 mm)
  • TEA5763 - the next-generation version of the TEA5767, requiring only 60 mm²
  • TEA5764 - the world's first FM radio IC to integrate popular RDS features
  • TEA5777 - the world's first and only FM/AM radio IC for portable applications

Second-generation devices will offer even higher performance in an even smaller format:


  • TEA5760 - follow-on to the TEA5761 (3.0 x 3.0 mm)
  • TEA5766 - follow-on to the TEA5764 (3.2 x 3.2 mm)

To improve electronic tuning in FM radios, we also offer the BB202, an ultra-small, low-voltage variable capacitance diode that delivers a very steep C/V curve and very low series resistance.
