Descriptive summary

The first choice in providing reliable control of any load is NXP's three-quadrant (Hi-Com) triacs. Their superior immunity to electrical noise and false triggering when controlling non-linear, inductive or capacitive loads reduces the need for additional protection components that are essential for standard four-quadrant triacs. Guaranteed voltage ratings extend to 1000 V to satisfy the demanding requirements of motor direction control. Gate currents also range from 5 mA for ease of driving, to 50 mA for the best immunity to false triggering.
