Applying our company values, responsibly
Today, more than ever, sustainability and “green” issues go hand-in-hand with day-to-day business. Only by acting responsibly can we, as a company, find success. NXP is committed to developing ethical, sustainable, and responsible business practices in a number of key areas, including corporate governance, employee well-being, product development, manufacturing, environmental practices, and community.
The NXP Sustainability Report, published in September 2009, covers global sustainability programs and corporate performance in NXP's worldwide operations and facilities during 2008, and highlights notable activities in the first half of 2009. The report includes historical performance data and future goals.
The report also highlights the many ways NXP people are making a difference, with profile articles that recognize individuals and groups who have made our business processes greener, improved our manufacturing methods, or donated time to community service.
New to this year's report are several articles that emphasize the ways our products are helping people and the planet by saving energy, improving mobility, providing safety and comfort, and pursuing new horizons in human health.
We prepared this report in accordance with the 2006 Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) G3 sustainability reporting guidelines with a self-declared GRI A rating. A GRI Index is provided as a cross-reference to the Report's content.
A full discussion of NXP's operations and financial statements is included in our NXP Semiconductors Annual Report 2008.
Feedback is a valuable way of helping to improve our reporting process.
