Chris Belden is Senior Vice President Operations for NXP, the independent semiconductor company founded by Philips.


Chris is responsible for all of NXP’s Operations, including Front End and Back End manufacturing, Purchasing, Supply Chain and Quality. In this role, he is part of the NXP executive management team (EMT), headed by Frans van Houten.


He has over twenty-five years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing and operations. From 2005 to 2007, he was Group Vice President of Global Operations for Applied Materials, Inc., a global leader in nanomanufacturing solutions, where he was responsible for volume manufacturing, supply chain management, reliability, quality and worldwide facilities. Mr. Belden had a 23-year career at Motorola. His last role was Senior Vice President of Global Manufacturing and Operations where he was responsible for all manufacturing, facilities, and supply chain management. He currently serves as in Independent Director on the Board of Energy Conversion Devices (ENER – NASDAQ), an alternative energy company.


Chris graduated from Alfred University with BS Degree in Ceramic Engineering and was awarded the Motorola CEO Volunteer of the Year in 1998. He is active in supporting the American Cancer Society and has served on the board of directors.
