Guido Dierick is Senior Vice President and General Counsel at NXP Semiconductors.
In this role, he is a member of the NXP Management Team (MT), headed by Rick Clemmer, and is responsible for Legal and IP, including contracts and claims. He is also Secretary to the NXP Board of Management.
Guido's legal expertise in financials, technology, intellectual property and deal-making were utilized extensively in Project Lion, which resulted in the Philips Semiconductors Division becoming the stand-alone NXP company.
He manages a team of 75 legal professionals to ensure the Legal and IP department is as effective and efficient as possible to protect the IP-rich nature of the company's products.
Previously, Guido worked in various legal positions at Philips, which he joined in 1982. These include the Components and Semiconductors product divisions, the Netherlands country organization and corporate headquarters, based out of Eindhoven, Amsterdam and California. He also worked for Philips M&A.
Guido holds a Law degree which he obtained from the University of Leiden.
