- PC power supplies
- PC power supply efficiency can increase, on average, from 70% to 85%, resulting in savings of 45 W for every hour of operation. Multiply this by the 150 million home and office PCs worldwide shipped per year and the potential is massive.
- Solid state lighting
- In applications such as traffic lights, portable devices, automotive and in- / out-door lighting for example, new SSL solutions could reduce consumption by 40%, saving over 100 billion Euros yearly in electricity costs and reducing CO2 emissions by 555 million tons per year.
