There are three steps for a manufacturer to perform HDMI compliance testing at the NXP Semiconductors HDMI ATC.

1. Product submission

• Only HDMI Adopters having a HDMI license in good standing can submit products for testing
• An ATC Order Form must be completed and sent to the NXP Semiconductors ATC
• A NDA between the manufacturer and the NXP Semiconductors ATC must be executed prior to testing
• A HDMI Compliance Test Application specified in the HDMI Compliance Testing Policies and Procedures must be sent to the ATC
• A Capabilities Declaration Form (CDF) specified in the HDMI Compliance Test Specification must be sent to the ATC

2. Testing

• Submit product and any ancillary equipment (such as signal generators) required to operate the product. Product and ancillary equipment must include operating instructions
• Equipment is shipped to the NXP Semiconductors HDMI ATC several days prior to testing. ATC personnel inspect the equipment. If any equipment or instructions are missing, ATC personnel will request replacements
• The product is tested in accordance with the HDMI CTS 1.3b

3. Test results

• HDMI compliance test results are reported to the manufacturer
• In case the test results are positive, the ATC also sends a Confirmation Letter to the manufacturer
• The product and ancillary equipment are returned to the manufacturer

Once the manufacturer receives the test results, they should submit the report and Confirmation letter to the HDMI Licensing LLC. The HDMI Licensing LLC will acknowledge receipt of the test results, indicating to the manufacturer that they may ship the product with the HDMI logo.
