Jobs Description


The Equipment Maintenance Technician is responsible for correctly maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing complex semiconductor manufacturing equipment to achieve manufacturing process yield and productivity goals. Provide a level of equipment maintenance support that will result in improved machine availability and performance, manage equipment resources to improve equipment management indices, such as cycle time and cost of ownership. Anticipates and diagnoses problems, performs scheduled maintenance procedures, records machine status and requirements, maintains spare parts inventory and various other activities related to the success of the assigned process area.


Understand and incorporate safe work practices, adherence to specifications, as well as 5S methodology. Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on the following tools depending on position.

  • Cleans Wet Etch tools: DNS -Nano, DNS wet Bench, SCP and Semi-Tool.
  • EPI tools: ASM Epsilon E-2000 tools
  • CMP tools: Ontrak DSS-200 Cleaner, Ontrak Synergy, Applied Materials Mirra-Mesa
  • Metrology
    • KLA: SP1, AIT, 6100/6200, F5X, Flexus, 2367, 8920 Altair, P2XH, HRP-220, Prometrix UV1xx0
    • Rudolph: Elipsometer VII, Metapulse, NSX330
    • Keithley: Quantox
    • Biorad: FTIR


  • Manufacturing experience preferred but not required (we will train for success)
  • Adhere to all NXP policies and procedures
  • Ability to perform a wide range of tasks/assignments in multiple areas
  • Follow all documented procedures
  • Abide by all safety and quality requirements upon training
  • Abide by factory protocol upon training
  • Properly display wafer handling skills upon training
  • Perform required tool qualifications
  • Effective verbal and written communication in English
  • Adapts quickly to change
  • Ability to stand/walk for up to 4 hour intervals, during a 12 hour shift and ability to lift up to 10 pounds
