Accelerate more precise analog I/O design with the NAFE33352 and Universal Input Output Module (UIOM)
Platform—combining high-accuracy sensing, integrated actuation and ready-to-use tools to simplify development,
reduce complexity and jump-start the journey from concept to deployment.
Industrial systems today demand high accuracy, fast response, and simplified architectures—all within compact
footprints. Analog I/O modules play a critical role in bridging the physical world with control logic. These modules
handle precise sensing of real-world parameters—such as temperature, pressure and flow—through analog inputs, while
simultaneously providing accurate actuation via analog outputs to control valves, motors and other devices.
This dual capability is essential for closed-loop control, ensuring stability, efficiency and high performance in
applications such as smart manufacturing, process automation and robotics. The NAFE33352 analog
front end (AFE) from NXP delivers exactly that. By integrating high-resolution (14-/16-/18-bit) sigma-delta
analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) for precise sensing and high-precision (14/16/18 bits) digital-to-analog
converters (DACs) for accurate actuation, the NAFE33352 enables seamless interaction between sensors and actuators
in closed-loop systems. This integration reduces the need for multiple discrete components, saving board space and
simplifying design. Whether you’re building next-generation industrial controllers or edge devices for smart
factories, the NAFE33352 offers premium performance without compromise, helping engineers accelerate development and
optimize reliability.
Compared with competing AFEs, the NAFE33352 offers superior accuracy (±0.01 %) and a highly integrated architecture,
supporting both analog input and analog output in a single device—minimizing bill of materials (BOM) while
maximizing performance.
