The RD33774ADSTEVB is a distributed cell monitoring unit (CMU) reference design with electrical transport protocol link (ETPL) communication. It is ideal for rapid prototyping of a high-voltage battery management system (HVBMS) hardware and software. This board contains one MC33774A analog front end (AFEs) in a daisy chain.

Temperature Measurement

  • 8 analog inputs (including temperature sensors) or GPIOs with advanced filtering per BCC

Cell Balancing

  • Integrated temperature-controlled cell balancing with up to 150 mA average

Communication

  • Isolated electrical transport protocol link (ETPL) communication between CMU and BMU

Cost Reduction

  • Optional optimized BOM using capacitive isolation on and off board
