About This Training

The majority of the OEMs are on the way to transition their current car architectures from a flat or domain architecture to a zonal approach. The steps towards that are different but the target is the same: Reducing complexity and cost. Unfortunately, the consideration of the arising challenges in regards to security and the impact of security elements towards functional safety are typically delayed to a later point of the architecture discussion. “We will talk to our safety/security people later” is a typical response when asking them if they did also include safety and security when defining the new architecture.
