    DESCRIPTION AND PURPOSE

          Freescale Semiconductor is pleased to announce an expansion of final
          test capabilities to its KLM final manufacturing facility in Kuala
          Lumpur, Malaysia. Increased capacity for final test is being added
          by way of the KTM facility in Kuala Lumpur, enabling Freescale to
          meet future customer demand. As with several other Freescale
          products, the MPC852T/853T products are now able to utilize the KTM
          facility. There will be no changes to the test hardware platform or
          test software for this expansion. Customers will now receive product
          tested at either KLM or KTM.
         
         
         

    QUALIFICATION PLAN

          MPC852T/853T product correlation includes:
         
          1. Good to Good and Reject to Reject : 100% correlation
          2. Bin to bin correlation : >97% correlation
          3. Pass on sample electrical gating for all gate temperatures
          4. Parametric comparison on 5 correlation units : +/- 10% variance
          from source site.
         
         
         

    ELECTRICAL CHARACTERISTIC SUMMARY

          All qualification requirements were satisfied. Report is available
          upon request.
         
         
         

    CHANGED PART IDENTIFICATION

          The device marking for the MPC852T/853T products will change to
          include a test trace code.
         
         
          For example, the current marking format is as follows:

          ___MMMM____CCCC___
          _____ATWLYYWW_____
         
          Where MMMM is the mask set marking and CCCC is the country of origin
          (optional). ATWLYYWW is the assembly trace code.
         
         
         
          An example of the revised marking format is as follows:

          Where MMMM is the mask set marking, CCCC is the country of origin
          (optional), and YWWLAZ is the assembly trace code. ATWLYYWW is the
          test trace code, where A is the assembly site code and T is the test
          site code. On future lots the T will be marked Q for KLM or MZ for
          KTM.
