    DESCRIPTION AND PURPOSE

          Freescale Semiconductor is pleased to announce the expansion of
          final test capabilities for the MPC8349E family in the TBGA package
          to include the KLM Final Test Facility in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
         
          This test site expansion will increase test capacity required for
          the product familys production ramp. All assembly processing will
          continue to be completed under the current control plan in KLM
          assembly. There are no changes to the test hardware platform or
          test software for this expansion.
         
          Effective immediately, customers will receive product tested at
          either Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia or the current test site in Austin,
          Texas.
         
          This affects both encrypted and non-encrypted versions of the
          MPC8349 and MPC8347 in both the lead-free (VV) and lead-bearing
          (ZU) 672 TBGA packages.
         
          This Product Bulletin does not apply to the MPC8347 or MPC8343 in
          the 620 PBGA (ZQ/VR) package. A separate PB will be issued late Q2
          2006 to address the transition of the PBGA package.
         
         
         

    QUALIFICATION PLAN

          1. Good to Good and Reject to Reject : 100% correlation
         
          2. Bin to bin correlation : >97% correlation
          3. Pass on sample electrical gating for all gate temperatures
          4. Parametric comparison on 5 correlation units : +/- 10% variance
          from source site.

    CHANGED PART IDENTIFICATION

          Device marking format will stay the same, except for the test site
          indicator. In the test trace code line, ATWLYYWW, the character
          'T' represents test site. It will be marked as either an E or Q,
          according to the following site identifiers:
         
          OHT = E____Freescale, Austin, Texas
          KLM = Q____Freescale, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
         
          The current marking format is as follows:

          Where: MMMMM is the mask; CCCCC is country of origin; and YWWLAZ is
