    The change to Copper Wire also includes a change in wire diameter and mold compound.

     

    These products are currently assembled with Gold wire at Freescale KLM assembly site, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Advanced Semiconductor Engineering Chung Li, Taiwan (ASECL). 

     

    An update to this notification will be issued with ASECL qualification results within 30 days for SPC5606S (Spectrum 176LQFP) and SPC5604P (Pictus 512k 144LQFP). 



    REASON FOR CHANGE

    The transfer from Gold to Copper wire is required to mitigate against raw material cost increases and for supply assurance.



    ANTICIPATED IMPACT OF PRODUCT CHANGE(FORM, FIT, FUNCTION, OR RELIABILITY)

    Wire composition, wire diameter and mold compound are the only change to form. No impact to fit or function. Reliability is equivalent or improved.

    No change to datasheet. Electrical Distribution comparison, Gold wire versus Copper wire included in this notification. Result show no difference in Electrical Distributions.





    CHANGED PART IDENTIFICATION:

    There is no change to orderable part number. The Tracecode marking on the device includes assembly site and datecode. Freescale will have traceability by assembly site and datecode.
