    DESCRIPTION AND PURPOSE

          Motorola Semiconductor Products Sector would like to inform you of
          the introduction of the new mask set L87J for MC68HC908AS/Z60A at
          TSC6-our facility in Japan. This is to complement our existing
          capacity in TSMC.
         
          The new mask set (L87J) from TSC6 is qualified and ready for
          production.
         
          Qualification report will be available upon request.
