    DESCRIPTION AND PURPOSE

          Motorola Semiconductor Products are pleased to announce the MC
          qualification of the MC9S12Dx64 (2L86D mask) in the TSMC facility
          in Taiwan. This product has been qualified to the full automotive
          temperature specification range. Production volumes will be
          available from November 2002.
         
          New Mask : 2L86D
          Technology : 0.25um
          Wafer Fabrication: TSMC, Taiwan
          Final Test : KLM with Copper Leadframes
          Sample Availability : Now

    QUALIFICATION PLAN

          Not Applicable

    RELIABILITY DATA SUMMARY

          During first silicon sampling it was noted that 2kV HBM ESD
          performance on the 0L86D was not robust, this was subsequently
          corrected on the 2L86D. As such, the Qualification was performed on
          0L86D, and suplemented with data from 2L86D (the final Mask set).
         
          The Following results were recorded to supplement generic data from
          MC9S12Dx256B. Full report available on request:
