    DESCRIPTION AND PURPOSE

          Motorola SPS would like to give advance notification of its intent
          to evaluate elimination of 100 percent production ambient test on
          the 0.25U MC9S12D64 product manufactured in TSMC and KLM facilities.

    QUALIFICATION PLAN

          1. Analyze failures from a minimum of 46,052 parts from at least 12
          wafer lots taken from MC9S12D64FU and MC9S12D64PV.
         
          2. Ensure all ambient test failures from existing test flow are
          captured as failures in ambient eliminated test flow.
         
          3. Eliminate ambient test on MC9S12D64FU and MC9S12D64PV after
          customer notification.
