    DESCRIPTION AND PURPOSE

          Motorola Semiconductor Products are pleased to announce the MC
          qualification of the MC68HC9S12Dx128E (1L40K), MC68HC9S12Dx128
          (3L40K mask) in the TSMC facility in Taiwan. This product has been
          qualified to the full automotive temperature specification range.
         
          New Mask: 1L40K, 3L40K
          Technology: 0.25um
          Wafer Fabrication: TSMC, Taiwan
          Final Test: KLM (KUALA LUMPUR) with Copper Leadframes
          Sample Availability: Immediate
          Mask Set Errata:
