My Personalized nxp.com

Your personalized nxp.com is a way for you to track what you have viewed and downloaded and for NXP to guide you more effectively to the solutions that are most relevant. How Recommendations Work

The NXP website offers two types of recommendations—personalized and context-based.

Personalized recommendations are available in the personalization bar near the top of the web page. When you click on ‘My Recommendations’, a pop-up displays various products, development solutions, applications, training and videos that may be relevant to your needs. We are able to determine the interest areas of users such as yourself by examining items you’ve viewed, downloaded and purchased (your history). We compare your activity on our site to that of other users, and through that comparison—with a bit of NXP expert knowledge thrown in—we make relevant recommendations for you.

Context-based recommendations, called ‘General Recommendations’ on the website, hover at the bottom of web pages and display anonymous aggregates of the views, interactions and downloads of other engineers who have used that particular page. These recommendations are not based on your own history of activity, but your activity on the website helps shape the recommendations that are made. You also typically will see context-based recommendations within the ‘Software and Tools’ tab, ‘Documentation’ tab and when you’re checking out after making a purchase.

What gets tracked?

The History feature keeps track of information that you have viewed, including products, applications, training and videos. It also keeps track of any documents or software that you have downloaded, as well as your personal notes entered with the Annotate This Page feature.

See My Browse History to learn more about activating and managing the History feature.

Why was a particular item recommended for me?

The expectation is that the recommendations on nxp.com will be relevant to your design needs because they are based on the aggregate browsing history of users like you.

For personalized recommendations, which leverage your own browsing history, you will have the opportunity to ‘fix’ the recommendation by removing irrelevant items from your history that. This helps tune our system so that we can provide the best selection of recommendations for your interests.

Note that personalized recommendations will not include items that you have viewed before.

My Browse History

Your Browse History helps you easily find information that you have viewed, including products, applications, training and videos. It also keeps track of your notes and any documents or software that you have downloaded. Your History is continually updated to include your most recently viewed items and downloads.

When you visit nxp.com, during the session we are able to track your history and offer personalized recommendations; however, when you close your browser or leave your session for more than 30 minutes, your data is lost.

For the History feature to save your activity beyond one session:

  • Register on nxp.com.
  • Select ‘Remember Me’ at the log-in page. Selecting ‘Remember Me’ means that every time you visit the site, your history will be recorded regardless of whether you are logged in or not.
  • Enable ‘History Recording’.
  • Enable cookies. Learn more about cookies in our Privacy Policy.

Your history is saved in the system for one year.

You can access your browse history within the light blue Personalization Bar at the top of nxp.com web pages.

History

If you do not find the History feature helpful, you are able to turn it off. Please note that we will not be able to make personalized recommendations based on your activity on nxp.com if you turn off Browse History.
